Colorado Buffaloes Football Roster
The Colorado Buffaloes football team plays as a member of the Big 12 Conference for the University of Colorado. The Buffaloes will be playing their home games at the Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado. The team will be playing their second season under head coach Deion Sanders.
Colorado had a good start last season with three wins in a row but then faced a significant decline in performance offensively and defensively. The coaching staff of the Buffaloes has made big changes to the roster by adding 42 new players via the transfer portal and 13 high school and junior college recruits. Meanwhile, 40 players left through transfers, including a lot of starters.
In 2024, a lot of the focus of the offensive line will be on protecting the quarterback, Shador Sanders, and making space for the two-way star, Travis Hunter. These players give Colorado a solid foundation to build upon and push the game to be more competitive. Additionally, the Buffaloes are bringing in one of the top offensive line prospects in the country, Jordan Sean, a five-star recruit to create more explosiveness.
Colorado also decided to bring a lot of experience through transfers, which include Tyler Brown, and Justin Myers. The Buffaloes are also strengthening their already strong position, wide receiving core, by bringing in some big names from the transfer portal like Will Sheppard and LaJohntay Wester (receiver and returner).
The Colorado Buffaloes are looking stacked with experienced stars, skillful offense, and a strong defense. Now, the biggest challenge for the team would be to integrate these players and establish a well-formed starting lineup to effectively utilize all the transfers and current players.
