Francisco Mauigoa started his career with the Washington State Cougars in 2021 and moved to the Hurricanes at the beginning of the 2023 season. According to the Miami Hurricanes' official website, he earned second-team All-ACC recognition as a junior. He started all 13 games and led the Hurricanes with a team-high 82 tackles.
