Sunrisers Hyderabad had a forgetful IPL 2021 after finishing last in the points table. Hyderabad retained Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad & Umran Malik ahead of the IPL auction 2022. Nicholas Pooran who was bought at ₹10.75 crores is expected to take the responsibility in the middle overs and finish games. Pooran will be joined by Rahul Tripathi in the middle order. Bhuvneshwar Kumar & T Natarajan were bought back in the auction. They have a stable spinner in Washington Sundar who can bowl economically in the powerplay.
