Ajit Agarkar named his first Indian Team since being named chief selector of the national team as he announced the travelling party for the T20 International series between India and the West Indies. They were no major changes apart from a well dissolved collapse for Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Verma. As far as the high-profile players that are missing go, they are regular members of the Indian ODI and test teams, and the general expectation will be that with the focus on the 50-over world cup later this year, they are bound to be rested for the shortest format. The BCCI has not mention in any press release since the Sri Lanka series that they have officially been rested. The 2024 T20 World Cup set to take place in the West Indies and the United States of America is just an year away.
