World Cup 2019: Gayle says he's "one of the greats" as West Indies look ahead to World Cup clash against India
Chris Gayle told reporters he is 'up there with the greats" as West Indies look ahead to World Cup clash against India.
The 39-year-old announced in February that he will retire from ODI's after the 2019 World Cup.
West Indies are hoping to bounce back from their spirit-crushing defeat against New Zealand with a victory against India at Old Trafford on Thursday to stay alive in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
The West Indies have only won two matches so far - against Pakistan and Afghanistan, but have suffered close defeats against both Australia and New Zealand.
The Windies would need to win all their remaining matches and then hope other results to go their way if they are to qualify for the semi-finals.
