"I've always said I wanted to come to Real Madrid, always." said Brazilian forward Rodrygo Goes as he spoke for the first time as a player of the Spanish side after his official presentation on Tuesday at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
"I am a quick forward, who likes to score many goals and to dribble. As a Brazilian, these are characteristics that I share with many of my compatriots. Robinho and Neymar are the players I am inspired by when I play" added Rodrygo, who signed for the Spanish giants until 2025.
The 18-year-old from Osasco, who scored nine goals in 41 appearences for Santos in all competitions from 2016 to 2019, was introduced to a few thousand Real Madrid supporters, with some kick-ups on the Bernabeu pitch.
