The ninth edition of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 will be a 10-team event. The top three teams in each group in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023, earned direct qualification for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024., alongside hosts Bangladesh and Pakistan who were ranked higher at that time just outside the top-six direct qualifiers.
Australia. New Zealand and South Africa were the qualifiers from Group 1 while England, India, and the West Indies were the qualifiers from Group 2. Women's T20 World Cup 2024 Format
The 10 teams are clubbed into two groups - A and B - each consisting of five teams. Each team will play one game against their opponent once in their respective groups. It means every side will play a maximum number of four group matches and the two teams with the most points from both groups will progress to the semi-final stage followed by the final.
Group A: Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka
Group B: Bangladesh, England, Scotland, South Africa, and West Indies
