The pitch was playing a few tricks, we had wickets in hand and were able to kick on, so that helped. I'm not going anywhere, I'm in the lime green. It all started with team Hobart Hurricanes Women winning the toss and deciding to have a bat first. This surface didn't play the way that skipper Elyse Villani must have thought earlier. The batting remained to be a challenging part throughout this whole game, right from the first few overs of the powerplay. But once get settled in run scoring becomes a bit easier. Hobart Hurricanes' batting unit misfired today, and only their skipper Elyse Villani stood strong and played a crucial unbeaten knock of 53 runs. This helped the visitors to post a decent total of 126 runs on the board. In the bowling department, Molly Strano bowled a fantastic spell by just giving 8 runs and taking 1 wicket from her quota of 4 overs.

Sydney Thunder Women went out for the chase and lost Georgia Voll on a golden duck. After this Chamari Athapaththu went all guns blazing along with Phoebe Litchfield which helped them to reach the victory podium. In bowling, Taneale Peschel impressed a lot and took 2 big wickets. Chamari Athpaththu showcased an all-round performance with both the bat and bowl.
