That's all we have from the Women's Big Bash League today then. Make sure you tune in tomorrow to catch all the action as well. For now, this is Pratyush Rohra, signing off on behalf of my partner, Soorya Sesha. Ciao!
Right then. The games keep coming in thick and fast in the WBBL and the battle for the playoffs gets more intense as we head into the second half of this tournament. Renegades are pretty much in must-win territory already, while the Strikers are living up to the tag of the defending champions, looking to cement the top spot.
Adelaide Strikers won by 6 wickets (with an over to spare)
Another comprehensive win for the Adelaide Strikers as the defending champions continue their march towards the playoff berth. With this win, they've jumped back to the top of the table and got the job done rather convincingly at their home ground. It started with another good bowling performance before the batters took care of business.
Katie Mack did what she does best, forcing the issue in the powerplay and laying an excellent platform for her side in the first four overs. Laura Wolvaardt didn't get her innings going as fluently though, but played second-fiddle in her partnership alongside her captain as the two kept things under control. There was a slight hiccup in the run chase but it didn't last too long.
Bridget Patterson, the crisis-woman for the Strikers, stepped up to the plate in a crunch situation again. Her unbeaten knock of 36 was enough to get her side over the line with a minimum of fuss, getting enough support from Gibson and Adams at the backend of the innings to make sure the Strikers get the two points to move to the top of the table. As for the Renegades, it was another ordinary outing for them as they struggle at the bottom of the table.

18.6 Sarah Coyte to Bridget Patterson, THERE IT IS! The Strikers move to the top of the table! Full outside the off stump and Patterson stays low and slams it on the up through the line of it. Mid-off dashes after it and cuts it off inside the ropes with the slide and for some reason, the batters run two even though a single would have sufficed. Anyway, Adelaide Strikers win four on the spin with a six-wicket victory!
Patterson executes the ramp to perfection. How often does she get her side over the line in situations like these? Scores are level!
18.5 Sarah Coyte to Bridget Patterson, FOUR! CLEARS SHORT 45! Shuffles across her stumps and sits low to get under this full one outside the off stump. She ramps it up and over short fine leg and clears the fielder comfortably to level the scores
18.4 Sarah Coyte to Bridget Patterson, into the block hole on off stump. Patterson shovels it out to short mid-wicket, no run
18.3 Sarah Coyte to Bridget Patterson, full and just outside the off stump. Patterson holds a still base to power it straight through the line of the ball to beat the bowler's outstretched right hand. Long on then picks up as the batters run two
18.2 Sarah Coyte to Georgia Adams, full outside the off stump. Adams comes forward and pushes it to point where Webb puts in a superb diving stop. The batters swap ends though
