Basnet is jumping in joy and the celebration starts now. Turns out to be a splendid win for Everest in the end. It looked like they were 20-30 runs short with the bat after a flourishing start they had but the bowlers stepped up and managed to defend the total.
The partnership between Sagwan and Khanduri gave Amdocs a glimmer of hope in the chase but once the former got out, the momentum swung in favour of Everest. Soon after, they stamped their authority by picking up the wicket of Khanduri. It was a gamble to bowl Basnet in the last over but he did exceedingly well to concede just three runs and helped his team cross the finish line without any drama in the middle.
