That turned out to be a humdinger of a game in the end. Catch plenty more ECI action tomorrow, until next time this is Pradeep signing off for the night, stay safe and take care!
Austria won the by 1 wicket!
What a game in the end it was, turned out to be a cliffhanger. The game kept swinging both the ways throughout but Austria had just enough to get over the line.
Iqbal Hossain perished early, however, Mark Simpson-Parker and Razamal Shigiwal clobbered the bowling attack and started the counter attack and were in fact cruising at one stage as they were 80-2 after 4.2 over. But Zeeshan comes on to bowl and reducdes Austria to 82-5 in the space of 5 balls.
From there on, Austria kept losing wickets but Umair Tariq had few shots in him and he clobbered the bowlers to all around the park and brought Austria back in the game. They needed 12 off the 7 balls but Prashar crumbled under pressure as he bowled a no-ball and the equation in the final over was reduced to 4 off 6 balls.
Another drama in the end as Zadran perishes in the final over trying to hit the glory shot but Umair Tariq and Deedar played sensibly to get their team over the line with 1 wicket remaining.
9.5 Ali Yalmaz to Itibarshah Deedar, THAT'S IT! Austria get out of the jail as they win the game by 1 wicket! What a game this has been, it turned out to be a thriller in the end and absolute classic. Length delivery on the off-stump, Deedar goes for a wild hack and skied it over extra-cover, fielder running back but falls safely as they get that crucial run to get over the line.
9.4 Ali Yalmaz to Umair Tariq, change of pace, length delivery on the leg-stump. Tariq nudged it to long-on for a single. Scores are level now!
9.3 Ali Yalmaz to Itibarshah Deedar, full toss on the fourth stump, Deedar sensibly taps it to covers for a single.
Itibarshah Deedar, RHB is the last man in!
9.2 Ali Yalmaz to Jaweed Zadran, OUT! UP IN THE AIR AND TAKEN! This game has turned on it's head again, the pendulum keeps swinging here, what drama! Pace off, short on the off-stump, Zadran swings but skied it straight up and point fielder takes a sitter.
9.1 Ali Yalmaz to Umair Tariq, length delivery on the leg-stump, Tariq flicked it up in the air over square-leg, falls safely as they pick up a single.
What a monumental hit that from Zadran of the last ball of the penultimate over, that brings the equation to 4 from 6 balls now.
