It was a day where even 200 would have been chased down. Zeeshan Kukikhel was in such a mood. He, along with his fellow opener Vinoth Ravindran, ensured that the total put on board by Austria was reduced to a mere folly.
He swung hard at almost everything that came his way, and this helped him to clear the fence innumerable times. It was truly a case of relentless hitting, with the bowlers of Austria asking for respite but the Hungarians choosing to give them none. Although Ravindran departed later on in the innings, it brought southpaw Ashrith Darapureddy to the crease.
He has played age-group cricket for Hyderabad in India, continued slogging and put an end to the misery of the bowlers of Austria along with Kukikhel. Austria had no answers to the sort of batting skill that Kukikhel displayed today, and they will rue the fact that they could not get his wicket by bowling in good areas.
