That's it from this Asia Cup game, this is the duo of Divyansh and Mohul, signing off.
Let's hear it from the captains!
Winifred Duraisingam, Malaysia: We started well but the end left a lot to be desired. Bangladesh are a very experienced side and they knew how to bowl to us. This is a great experience for us, and I hope that the girls go back having learnt a lot. Sasha and Eleesa and the others have bowled really well and I hope that they continue doing so.
Nigar Sultana (Bangladesh Captain and the Player of the match, here's what she has to say): We wanted to play positive cricket, we have a good batting line up even though we lost wickets early. It was a slower wicket, still we got to the total that we wanted. Murshida played really well, we had a plan about how to go with the innings and end on a flourish. Yes, we had a lot of faith on Trisna, she is a smart bowler. I am happy with my performance as well. We discussed how soon we want to get them all out with regards to the net run rate of the tournament.
Bangladesh Women win by 88 runs
Malaysia Women: 41/10 (18.5) Nur Arianna Natsya 9 (12) | Fariha Trisna 3/12 (4.0)
Malaysia will be disappointed with themselves, the first 10 overs of the match belonged to them but then after that it was a dominant performance from Bangladesh. Got to a good total, and bowled well from the first over itself.
Malaysia never really got going as none of the batters reached double digits as they are bundled out for 41. The debutant, Fariha Trisna took a hat trick for her first three wickets in her career, Fahima Khatun, Akter, Ahmed got 2 wickets each and Sultana Khatun came in and took the last wicket. All in all, a comprehensive win as they also get a massive boost in their run rate.
18.5 Salma Khatun to Nur Dania Syuhada, OUT! Short of a length on off stump and turns a lot to hit the pads of Nur, who is struck right in front of the stumps. She gets into an awkward position, going neither forward or back. The finger goes up and the Malaysians are dismissed for just 41. Bangladesh Women have beaten the Malaysian Women by 88 runs!
18.4 Salma Khatun to Nur Dania Syuhada, shortish on off and middle, defends it off the backfoot.
18.3 Salma Khatun to Sasha Azmi, full on off and middle, slog sweeps it away past midwicket for a run.
18.2 Salma Khatun to Sasha Azmi, shortish on off, defends off the backfoot.
18.1 Salma Khatun to Sasha Azmi, full outside off, beaten past the bat.
Salma Khatun (2.0-0-3-0) comes back into the attack.
