LIZ scripted a late fightback to register an emphatic victory and outclass BCP by 23 runs in a run-fest. Chasing a target of 150, BCP got off to a flyer of a start, courtesy of some quickfire batting from their openers Pawandeep and Managala Gunasekara.
BCP dominated the first five overs of the run chase up untill Umar Shah got the first breakthrough to dismiss Gunasekara. Following the strike, LIZ bowlers showed strong character to pull themselves back into the contest with some tidy bowling.
Requiring 42 off the last 12 balls, BCP could add only 18 runs as they fell short by 23 runs and eventually ended up succumbing the contest.
With the win, LIZ pick up their sixth win in ten games while BCP slumped to their fifth loss in ten games.
