Nathan McSweeney is the Player of the Match for his stunning unbeaten 78. Here's what he has to say: I thought Matty Renshaw batted really well in assessing conditions. I just wanted to get off strike (during that partnership). Really good win for us. (On bouncing back from the Test snub) Always nice to bounce back. Liked being in that change room. A common message from all the ex-players and Marnus in particular is it's not where it starts but where it ends. A good story always has its ups and downs. I see this as a great learning curve and I hope to bounce back. It's always nice to have that feeling - Brisbane is my home, my family and friends stay here. Always nice to play at home.
9:36 pm local time, 5:06 pm IST: Brisbane Heat beat Adelaide Strikers by three wickets
Brisbane Heat: 175/7 after 20 overs Nathan McSweeney: 78(49b)* | Llyod Pope: 2/17 (3 overs) Matthew Renshaw: 54(27b) | Henry Thornton: 2/43 (4 overs)
What a game of cricket we have been treated to. Both teams have gone toe to toe and in a contest that was decided by smaller and finer details, it was Brisbane Heat who come out on top at their home venue.
Brisbane Heat have a good batting attack but their openers failed to set the stage alight. Colin Munro and Jimmy Peirson failed to get some runs under their belt and it was Matt Renshaw who played a fine hand. Up until his dismissal, Nathan McSweeney had played second fiddle but post the power surge, he flipped the switch and went all out against the bowling. In the end, despite a flurry of wickets, Mitchell Swepson held his nerve and ended the game with a single that delivered them a win.
The Strikers bowling attack did a fine job to stretch the contest till the last over but it didn't quite go to plan for them. Henry Thornton was expensive but picked up two wickets while Matthew Short, Jamie Overton and Liam Scott picked up a wicket each. Llyod Pope, whom many will believe was under bowled, did a fine job as he conceded only 17 runs and picked up two wickets

19.6 Liam Scott to Mitchell Swepson, CHIPPED! SAFE! AND THE HEAT PREVAIL! Jubilation in the stands as Swepson manages to get the job done! What a cracking finish we've seen as the BBL delivers another thriller! Wide of off stump as Scott dishes out a low full toss. Swepson carves it off the bottom hand and chips it up and over that off-side arc comprising three fielders from short third to cover point. The ball drops well over the head of backward point and that'll do as the batters swap ends. Huge roar from Swepson and McSweeney as Brisbane Heat hold on for a 4-wicket win off the last ball!
More drama, the scores are level now. Swepson on strike, 1 run to win. What happens now?
19.5 Liam Scott to Nathan McSweeney, JUST A SINGLE! Low full toss at the stumps as he aims for the block hole. McSweeney swipes it around the corner to huge roars but Boyce is stationed at deep fine leg. He bolts to his left and puts in a slide to deny the Heat the winning run. McSweeney is stranded at the non-striker's end for the last ball!
19.4 Liam Scott to Nathan McSweeney, MISSED RUN OUT CHANCE! It's all happening out here! Dipping slower yorker at the stumps and McSweeney squeezes it out towards long on. He sprints across and turns around without a second thought with his partner duly responding. A sharp throw comes Scott's way but he fails to gather it cleanly. Could have been touch and go had he collected it!
19.3 Liam Scott to Mitchell Swepson, dipping wide yorker and Swepson moves across before bunting it as he presses forward. Rolls past the bowler towards mid-off for a rapid single as McSweeney gets back on strike
Mitchell Swepson, RHB, comes out to bat with a huge task ahead of him. Heat need 5 runs in 4 ball
