That brings us to the end of coverage for this encounter. Till the next time, this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off. Cheers!
Bucharest Gladiators won by 9 wickets (with 12 deliveries to spare)
Bucharest Gladiators 106/1 in 18 overs
Tehzeeb Ul Hassan 58*(27) | Muhammad Moiz 44(19) Kaluma Shamood 1/9(1)
It turned out to be a rather comfortable run chase for the Bucharest Gladiators as they romped home by 9 wickets and with 2 overs to spare. The target of 106 was not a match-winning one under any stress of imagination but Baneasa wouldn't have hoped that they will reach the target without breaking any sweat. The opening partnership between Tehzeeb Ul Hassan and Muhammad Moiz made all the difference.
They started off sensibly before launching through the middle stages of the innings. Tehzeeb smashed some delightful shots during his breathtaking half-century. Moiz struggled to time the ball before getting to his own and eventually scored 44 off a mere 19 deliveries. His innings was studded with 3 fours and 4 sixes. He was dismissed with his team just a run away from the victory target. He shared a 105-run stand with Tehzeeb. The latter remained unbeaten on 58 off 27 deliveries, an innings studded with 7 fours and 4 sixes.
7.6 Kaluma Shamood to Waqas Ahmed, game set and match for Bucharest. Swings away the low full toss towards the midwicket region.
7.5 Kaluma Shamood to Waqas Ahmed, a dot ball first up.
Waqas Ahmed, RHB is the new man in.
7.4 Kaluma Shamood to Muhammad Moiz, WICKET! Moiz departs with Bucharest just a run away from the victory target. Swings across the line to a good-length delivery around middle and slices this straight to the mid-on fielder.
7.3 Kaluma Shamood to Tehzeeb Ul Hassan, Hassan slices away the length delivery around middle stump just short of the mid-on fielder and a single taken.
7.3 Kaluma Shamood to Tehzeeb Ul Hassan, slower delivery well wide outside off and Shamood has to reload that.
7.2 Kaluma Shamood to Muhammad Moiz, Moiz cue ends that back of a length delivery a shade outside off towards the long-off region for a single.
7.1 Kaluma Shamood to Muhammad Moiz, FOUR! Moiz slices away the length delivery around middle over the short third man fielder's head and goes away to the fence.
