So, that will be all from this match from Malta. The last one for the day is coming up shortly. Do join us by switching tabs for that one. This is the pair of Pradeep and Bidipto taking your leave. Keep following Sportskeeda!
What a clutch bowling and fielding effort this was from Gozo Zalmi! They managed to defend 98 runs picking up only 2 wickets with one of the opposition batters reaching his half-century!
Mehboob Ali and Fazil Rahman did not pick up a wicket but went for 2.50 and 5.00 RPO, respectively! So that meant four overs for only 15 runs. That killed the game right there!
But the batting from all three of Imon Islam, Danish Siddique and skipper Gaurav Maithani left a lot to be desired actually! Far too many dot balls, far too many balls without boundaries and no retired out to bring Narendar Negi in!
A batter like Negi did not get an opportunity to bat when he was required to be out in the middle the most.
So with this win, Gozo Zalmi are very much confirmed of finishing on top of the group via a highly superior net run rate.

9.6 Zeeshan Qaiser to Gautam Singh, THAT IS THAT! Gozo Zalmi with a brilliant bit of bowling ensured they restrict Blasters by plenty and pick up two more points and solidify their position at the top of the table. Short into the batter, Gautam pulled it to deep square-leg for just a single.
9.5 Zeeshan Qaiser to Gautam Singh, SIX! BANG! Where were you all this while? Length delivery on the stumps, Gautam clears his front foot and clobbered it all the way over deep square-leg for a maximum.
Gautam Singh, RHB, is at the crease.
9.4 Zeeshan Qaiser to Danish Siddique, RUN-OUT! Mindless running from Maithani and pays the price. Yorker length, tailed in past the leg-stump as Danish misses. Maithani thought he could steal a bye, but the keeper was alert as he darts it into the stumps. Maithani is well short but at the time of the impact on to the stumps, they hadn't crossed and it's Danish that has to go!
Danish Siddique run out (Zeeshan Khan) 50 (36b, 3x4, 4x6)
9.3 Zeeshan Qaiser to Gaurav Maithani, length delivery on the off-stump, Maithani down on one knee for a wild slog, but mistimes it to long-on for one.
9.2 Zeeshan Qaiser to Gaurav Maithani, back of a length outside the off-stump, Maithani has a wild swing and a miss.
9.1 Zeeshan Qaiser to Gaurav Maithani, SIX! BAM! Back of a length on the middle and leg, Maithani nonchalantly clubbed it all the way over deep square-leg for a maximum.
