That brings us to the end of our coverage of the Zim Afro T10 for the day. We have three more matches of the same lined up tomorrow, keep an eye on our tabs for our coverage of them, and of course, a lot, lot more! This is Rajarshi, signing off on behalf of Sooryanarayanan. Good night!
Mohammad Hafeez (Joburg Buffaloes captain): It was (a must-win game) and I'm really happy that the boys showed the character and the hunger that they wanted to win the game. A couple of games we should have won but that's how the games go. Really happy with the performance. The boys were looking for a win and were hurt by the last two games. Everyone tried their best. Hopefully some other players will turn up tomorrow. (On his hand) It is hurting at the moment but let's see how it goes.
Blessing Muzarabani is the Player of the Match for his outstanding spell of 2/15.
Match summary:
Joburg Buffaloes win by 14 runs
Yusuf Pathan 36*(21) | Blessing Muzarabani 2/15 (2) Sikandar Raza 26(13) | Patrick Dooley 2/14 (2)
An excellent display of death bowling ultimately hand a win to the Joburg Buffaloes! All smiles among their camp, they redeem themselves from the loss to Durban Qalandars earlier in the day! The Bulawayo Braves were in it for a large part of the chase, but lost far too many wickets at crucial junctures! The win over Braves help them stay in the hunt for the playoffs, just about!
A thrilling display of fast bowling in the powerplay helped the Buffaloes assert their authority in the chase early on. Muzarabani and Usman Khan Shinwari blew the Braves' top-order away. They needed their number 3, Sikandar Raza, to step up once again. Step up he did, and in grand fashion! Raza launched into Junior Dala in the fourth over, and brought the equation back in their favour going into the halfway stage.
Hafeez then pegged the Braves back by going past a wild hack from Ryan Burl. The two overs from Noor Ahmad were always going to be make or break for the Buffaloes, and it ended up making their path to success eventually! In his first over, Ahmad fired a googly on leg stump to Raza, who went for an ill-advised reverse sweep, missed, and cut a frustrated figure walking back to the dugout.
Some lusty blows from Thisara Perera kept the Braves in the hunt going into the penultimate over. Muzarabani, having started off on a forgettable note, went on to deliver a telling 9th over, snaffling Thisara Perera in between. Junior Dala then ensured that there were no further fireworks from the Braves lower-order, and sealed victory with runs to spare!

9.6 Junior Dala to Tymal Mills, the Buffaloes arrest their four-match losing streak! Back of a length delivery outside the off stump. No pace to work with as Mills heaves wildly across the line. Only connects with fresh air and that's all she wrote for today. Joburg Buffaloes return to winning ways with a 14-run victory!
Tymal Mills, RHB, comes to the crease
9.5 Junior Dala to Patrick Dooley, TAKEN! EXCELLENT CATCH! Banged into the track outside the off stump as Dooley steps out and flat-bats it a mile into the sky. Gets way too high on the bat before Nyauchi pedals back from mid-off and well into the deep before pouching an outstanding catch as he falls over. The Buffaloes can see victory within sight alright!
Mathematically, that should be the game!
9.4 Junior Dala to Patrick Dooley, BEATEN AGAIN! Dala is winning it for the Joburg Buffaloes! Slower short of a length delivery on middle and off stump that wobbles across Dooley heaving for the bleachers. Keeps low as it beats him before the keeper takes it on the bounce
