Central Kings won by 58 runs Chad Bowes 89(52) | Will Young 44(36) Zak Foulkes 3-22(4) | Bevan Small 1-19(3)
Turns out to be a one-sided tussle in the end. A thoroughly dominating performance from the Kings as they steamrolled the Stags by 58 runs. The Stags lost wickets in quick succession at the start and that's the reason for their downfall while chasing a huge total. The Kings' pacers proved too hot to handle for the batters as they reduced the opposition to 30-4 inside the powerplay.
The damage was done at the start by the pacers and Central Stags didn't recover from the early setback. Tom Bruce and Will Clark showed some intent with the bat but that only helped the Stags to reduce the deficit of the defeat.
Chad Bowes (Man of the Match): Lovely to get some runs on the board to set the platform at the start. I just went out to whack it. It's a volatile format, just have to find a way and be consistent. In the end, the numbers count a lot and that's what I am trying to do. The left-right combo worked really well and he finished it off well at the back end. A clinical bowling performance from the lads
