So that brings us to the end of this coverage for a lop sided encounter. Another game coming up in a short while so stay tuned and switch tabs. From here for now this is Arya Sekhar Chakraborty signing off also on behalf of my fellow commentator and good mate Sooryanarayan Sesha.
Roma CC beat Casilina by 90 runs
Dinidu Marage 46(27) | Charles Fernando 2/3(2) Tharaka Porutotage 26*(23) | Asela Gunasekara 2/22(2)
It turned out to be a rather one sided game in the end as Roma CC thrashed Casilina by 90 runs to continue their winning run in the competition. Charles Fernando started off brilliantly and bagged the wicket of Indika Senn to start the downward slide. None of the middle order batters could get any sort of momentum going. It was good bowling performances from the likes of Fernando, Prabath Ekneligoda and Denham Seneviratne.
None of the batters could make an impact as the squeeze was on all through the innings. Tharaka Porutotage and Romesh Masurawalage finally gave some sort of semblance to the innings with a good partnership but that was always going to be for a losing cause. Porutotage should be happy with his highest individual score in ECS cricket while Masurawalage also smashed his first six of the competition.

9.6 Ahmed Nazar to Tharaka Porutotage, SIX! Ends with a maximum but it's just a consolation! In the slot just outside the off stump. Tharaka clears his front foot and mousses it up and over mid-wicket for a maximum. All to no avail though - Roma CC beat Casilina by 90 runs and make it 14 wins on the spin!
9.5 Ahmed Nazar to Romesh Madurawalage, short in length outside the off stump. Romesh lifts weight off the front foot and powers a pull down to long on for one
9.4 Ahmed Nazar to Tharaka Porutotage, OH! Short in length outside the off stump. Tharaka chops it past his stumps before his partner pulls him through despite short fine leg running in. The throw misses the stumps and the bowler then turns around and has a go at his end with Tharaka ball-watching. He makes his ground though as the throw ends up errant!
9.3 Ahmed Nazar to Tharaka Porutotage, AH! Gets too funky and shuffles across looking to ramp this full one in the channel. Tharaka doesn't connect yet again though
9.2 Ahmed Nazar to Tharaka Porutotage, short of a length delivery outside the off stump. Tharaka has a wild heave at it but can't connect
9.1 Ahmed Nazar to Tharaka Porutotage, width offered on a length. Tharaka reaches for it and slices it up and over backward point. Drops safely over the head of the fielder running after it as the batters run two
Ahmed Nazar, right-arm medium comes into the attack.
That's the 9th over done and dusted. Not much left in this game to be honest. It's a matter of how many runs for Roma CC.
