Catalunya Tigers beat Ripoll Warriors by 61 runs! Mustansar Iqbal 80 (31) | Waseem Abbas 2/16 Prince Dhiman 49 (17) | Sheraz Iqbal 1/3
Prince Dhiman gave the Warriors an excellent start, but it was unfortunate that there was no one who could follow up on him. He raced to 49 in no time, but got dismissed soon after, and it is unfortunate that he could not get to a rather well-deserved half-century. Muhammad Nazim and Muhammad Masood played good cameos but they too could not convert their starts into big scores, and this is what will hurt the Warriors the most.
If even one of their top three batters had stayed until the end, this target of 156 would not have felt unsurmountable to them as it did during the latter half of the match. The Tigers bowled really well and once Dhiman had departed, the game was completely in their pocket. They will take great heart from this victory of theirs, and make sure that they carry this momentum forward into the tournament.
