It went to become a dramatic final over finish with Brescia needing 19 to win from the last. Naveed for Brescia found the boundaries and brought Bresica in touching distance to win the match but he lost his wicket on the penultimate delivery and on the last ball, Brescia skipper was not able to find the ropes or even tie the game. Cluj wins their first match in ECL 2021!
However, Saini breaks the 28 run stand between the two as he gets rid of Shadnan who was trying to quicken up the process. That started a process and Babar was taken out as well allowing Cluj to get back into this contest. Boundaries dried by and the required run-rate creeped up for Brescia.
Taranjeet who came on to bowl bagged two wickets in his spell and tried to tie down Brescia. However, no pressure from other bowlers meant Brescia were able to attack others and kept the score moving along nicely. Shadnan and Babar were up for it and kept the required run rate in check.
Coming in to chase 92, Brescia had a stable start as their openers Imad and Dullu founds boundaries straight away. Dullu was provided a chance as the bowler dropped him in the first over. However, Dullu could not make the most of that chance as he was taken out in the second over instead.
Nishant bowling for the first time in ECL barely manages to hold his nerve. He did leak boundaries but bowled his last two balls perfectly and that is all that was required to seal the deal. With that, Cluj register a win for the first time in ECL, they went winless in ECL 2019 but that is in the past now!

9.6 Nishant Devre to Qalab Sajjad, RUN-OUT! Well, well, Nishant Devre holds his nerve, Cluj wins a thriller, what a game of cricket this was! Short on the outside off, Sajjad clears his front foot and clobbers it, doesn't get hold of it, falls safely, the long-on fielder comes around and fires the throw to the bowler, they scamper back for the second, Devre doesn't collect neatly but Sajjad's presence of mind wasn't good, he was not looking back, this could've easily gone to Golden Ball had he made an effort, he finally turns back but Akbar is well short in the end at the striker's end!
