Thanks for joining us- Mohul Bhowmick and Maanas Upadhyay- here. This wraps the ECS Austria competition up, where we saw Donaustadt win the title for the third time in a row. European cricketing action continues tomorrow with the ECI, so join us for that. Until next time, goodbye!
Donaustadt beat Cricketer CC by 25 runs!
Noor Ahmadzai 55 (17) | Shahab Khan 2/19 Jaweed Sadran 46 (15) and 2/21
Wow! So Donaustadt manage to win this game and the ECS Austria title quite comfortably! Although they were given quite a scare when Jaweed Sadran got into his own zone and whacked almost everything that came his way, things evened out soon after he got dismissed.
Itibarshah Deedar was the star for Donaustadt with the ball in hand and full credit to his skipper Razmal Shigiwal to bring him back into the attack even after he conceded 23 runs in his first over. Shigiwal was condemned by commentators Rico Phull and Vinny Sandhu for bringing Deedar back into the attack, but the latter shut them up by picking two wickets in that over and conceding just eight runs.
Cricketer CC had a good tournament overall but came up short today. They did bat extremely well and would have chased down a moderate total, but it was their bowling that let them down. Donaustadt will be over the moon with this win.
Commiserations to Cricketer CC for trying their best but still coming up short. They put up a tough fight here, and the result of this final was anything but one-sided. They did not get drubbed. We had a really fun tournament. This was Donaustadt's third ECS Austria title win in a row and fifth in total.

9.6 Osman Khan to Javid Afghan, OUT! BOWLED! DONAUSTADT ARE CHAMPIONS OF AUSTRIA! Tossed up and outside off, Afghan goes for the big hoick across the line but gets an under-edge that goes on to crash into the stumps! And the celebrations begin! Donaustadt are unbeaten!
Javid Afghan b Osman Khan 0 (2b 0x4 0x6)
9.5 Osman Khan to Javid Afghan, length ball outside off spinning away, quicker through the air and Afghan misses with the big swipe at that.
Javid Afghan, RHB, walks out to bat.
9.4 Osman Khan to Khanagha Hamdard, OUT! CAUGHT! Short and on the middle stump line spinning away, Hamdard swings hard at that but does not get it off the middle of the bat. Straight into the hands of the fielder at deep square leg! Another one bites the dust!
Khanagha Hamdard c Sabawoon Davizi b Osman Khan 7 (3b 0x4 1x6)
9.3 Osman Khan to Bashir Ahmad, a low full toss on the middle stump line which is pulled towards deep square leg for a single.
9.3 Osman Khan to Bashir Ahmad, WIDE! The quicker and flatter one but it is past the tramline. He'll have to re-bowl that!
9.2 Osman Khan to Bashir Ahmad, SIX MORE! Short and outside off, Ahmad rocks onto the back-foot and pulls that over the mid-wicket region for another big hit!
