It's the same surface that was used the last evening. The dimensions don't change - pretty much loaded - slightly shorter hit on one side, long at the other. 70 straighter boundary, essential to time the ball while hitting down the ground. There's no wear or tear, hard surface, it is going to skid. We've seen that in the previous game. The ball might keep a little low, there are cracks visible, bowlers might get some turn bowling on these areas. Teams batting first have started cautiously in the powerplay. But once the dew factor comes in play from 8 pm, they are using the middle phases to accelerate. Still something for the spinners if they bowl tight in the middle overs. You would want to bat first, reports Anjum Chopra and Mithali Raj.

Renuka Singh Thakur has been adjudged Player Of The Match! Here's what she has to say: Have some good memories of this ground. Like the previous series I was player of the tournament, so I came in with a positive mindset that the pitch here and the crowd are quite good. I work on it, for now I'm working on pace, been working on the outswing too but it's not as much required now. I'll try to do more in the upcoming matches. I focus on my release points for the swing - if it's going down leg often I try to bowl from close to the stumps, once the rhythm returns I go back to wide of the crease.

Smriti Mandhana (Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain): The bowlers did a great job, restricting a batting line-up like DC to under 150 was a great job. We almost saved 15-20 runs in fielding. In batting, Danni was brilliant. The strategy was to bowl more pace early on, Baroda never plays the same way. The way we started was brilliant. Joshita came back really well in her second over. That shows her character. Really proud of our bowlers, even Ekta, the way she came back. Me and Danni batted a lot together at the Hundred, we know each other really well. We discussed we had to keep going. It was about reacting to the ball and it came off.

Danny Wyatt-Hodge [Royal Challengers Bengaluru]: Pretty satisfied, yes. Before the game I told in the team huddle, let's make it two in two, that's what we did. I had the best seat in the house to watch Smriti put on a show. Hopefully we can keep it up. She keeps me very calm, she was much coach tonight, she was helpful. We played for Southern Braves together, know each other very well. RCB is a great franchise, very welcoming. Little bit on the slow side, she kept saying, come back and go forward. She batted so well, pleasure to bat with her.

Meg Lanning [Delhi Capitals Women captain]: Not our best night, we got off to a reasonable start, but kept losing wickets. RCB bowled really well in the middle, pegged us back. We couldn't take the wickets at the start, disappointing that our batters got in but just couldn't carry on, myself included. RCB just too good tonight. We felt like we could've improved a lot from game on, we always need to find a way to win the game. Tonight certainly not the best night. Good thing about this tournament is you come back and turn things around. It does get easier as you bat on, RCB took advantage of that. Bowlers have to bowl well with the new ball. We were 60 odd after the powerplay, but lost our way.

The tone for the chase was pretty much set in the first half of the powerplay. Skipper Smriti Mandhana came out with intent and purpose, she was the one who led the charge early in the piece as Danielle Wyatt-Hodge played herself in. The Capitals tried to suppress Mandhana with off-spin in the form of Minnu Mani in the 3rd over, but Mani ended up going for 10 in it as Mandhana improvised and picked out gaps at deep square and behind it.

Wyatt-Hodge then got in on the act with a couple of well-timed boundaries. 22 runs came off the last two overs of the powerplay, and RCB needed 85 at just over a run-a-ball after that. The Capitals openers didn't take the foot off the pedal after the powerplay either - the runs kept coming thick and fast as dew settled in. Smriti Mandhana went on to register a half-century of her own, and it seemed to be one-way traffic at the time.

RCB crossed three figures right at the halfway mark. Arundhati Reddy did account for Wyatt-Hodge shortly after, but there was too much damage control to be done. Smriti Mandhana continued on her merry way, timing the ball as sweetly as ever, picking the gaps out at will, and while she couldn't stay there till the end, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru were home and dry with plenty of time to spare.

A forgettable day for the Delhi Capitals overall - they were well short of a par total to begin with, they didn't start well enough with the ball, and there weren't too many good examples of their fielding tonight either. Stick around for the presentations...

16.2 Arundhati Reddy to Richa Ghosh, SIX! GAME, SET AND MATCH! Richa Ghosh finishes things in style! Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women thrash Delhi Capitals Women. Short into the batter, Ghosh swivels and pulled that one all the way over fine-leg for a maximum to seal the deal.
