Parthiv Patel: It was a bit of a nervy moment. I thought we bowled brilliantly and eventually Karim Janat finished it for us. We have to forget this time and come out all guns blazing in the next match. We have to stay in the present and look to get better with each game.
This has been a good win for the Cape Town Samp Army as they win this game by 4 wickets, take two points and now are the table toppers in the league. They look assured of securing a top-two finish and will play Qualifier 1.
The start to the chase wasn't as smooth as Cape Town Samp Army would've liked it. They lost a wicket in the first over and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the only batter to scale double digits in the top order, but otherwise, it was a lacklustre batting approach from the first few batters. Karim Janat held his own and smashed the ball to all corners of the park, scoring a brilliant 48* and taking his side home.
The bowling wasn't up to the mark from the Durban Qalandars bowlers, Daryn Dupavillon was the best bowler as he picked up 2 wickets in his spell and kept things tight. Tendai Chatara also picked up a couple of wickets but wasn't that effective against the wrath of Karim Janat. Mohammad Amir was taken apart as in his second over, the floating powerplay was taken and Janat tore into him and managed to reduce the deficit. Let's go down to see what the captains have to say

8.6 Tendai Chatara to Karim Janat, FOUR! Cape Town Samp Army wins it by four wickets. On the pads and that has been delectably worked away past the square leg region and trickles away to the fence.
8.5 Tendai Chatara to Karim Janat, SIX! That has been dispatched for another maximum. That was on a fuller-length a shade outside off, Janat moves across the off-stump and thumps this over the long-off region for a maximum. That was nailed from the midddle of the bat.
8.5 Tendai Chatara to Karim Janat, WIDE! That was ever so close to the wide line. Chatara going for the wide yorker but just missing his line and called a wide.
8.4 Tendai Chatara to Jonathan Campbell, slower on a length around middle and leg, nudged away down the ground past the bowler and gives the strike back to Karim Janat.
