This definitely did not look like an easy defense and it wasn't possible for Mater Dei to win it in the end but Edex Knights made sure to finish it off well within 10 overs! In fact, in 6 overs with only 1 wicket lost!
Basil George got stuck into the bowling with a strike rate of 325! There were 7 wides and 2 no-balls bowled that helped immensely. Samuel Stanislaus and Yadav Manu made sure of knocking the remaining runs easily, with strike rates of 155.55 and 275, respectively.
The bowling hardly had much to talk about. Just a consolation wicket to Amar Sharma and an over that went for only 10 runs from Suhrid Roy. We say only because of the carnage elsewhere!
So, with this thumping win, the Knights continue their winning run in the tournament but Mater Dei stay on 10 points.
