Match Summary
England XI beat Switzerland by 6 wickets
Sam Young 39 (14) | Rich Edwards 3/17 (2) Malyar Stanikzai 47 (23) | Ali Nayyer 1/24 (2)
Well, it looks like England XI have won this one with quite the margin, but surely not won this one with ease as the Switzerland's side did not let them win that easy. England doing a fabulous job with the bat, but the speed bumps was something no one was expecting for sure. All-in-All, it was a contest at one point but became one sided eventually.
England started things off with a bang as the opening stand started getting the runs coming in from the get-go. The opening batters were hitting the runs like it was a net training session as they got 50 runs in the batting powerplay. The bowlers were bowling whatever they could but were read by them. It was looking like the opening stand was going to end things in a flash but Sam Young departed after a humongous knock. We were all surely expecting the skipper to finish things off along with Hemp, but he too was dismissed a little after that and Rana came back into the match with a bang, but it was all ineffective as the top order brought the heat to the bowling attack as they get the win for their side.
8.2 Nalinambika Kumar to Tom Hinley, SIX! ENGLAND XI BEGIN WITH A WIN! Short on middle-and-leg. Pulled off the back foot to deep square-leg. The fielder did well to try and catch it but could not quite in the end as he could not stop himself from running over the rope with ball in hand!
8.1 Nalinambika Kumar to Thomas Bevan, good length ball around off-stump. Squirted down to third man for a single.
Tom Hinley, RHB, is the new batter in.
Nalinambika Kumar, Slow Left Arm Orthodox, to bowl the next over.
Well, Switzerland looking to end this one with the fight right till the end. They have done a splendid job.
