Gorkha 11: 76/4 after 8.5 overs beat Friendship CC by 6 wickets.
An easy win in the end for Gorkha 11 and they qualify for the semifinals. A target of 73 was never going to cause much trouble. The middle-order partnership between Praveen Singh and Arslan Naseem helped stabilize the chase. Praveen Singh scored 23 from 16 balls and Arslan Naseem made 14 from 10 deliveries. There was a bit of a scare for Gorkha 11 midway through their chase as Taher Hossain bowled a good spell of 2/10. Sayful Huda also picked two wickets, but there were too few runs on the scoreboard for the Friendship CC bowlers to defend the total successfully.
Earlier, Friendship CC somehow managed to bat out their quota of 10 overs. At one stage they were reduced to 26/6 and it looked like they would be bowled out but the lower-order batters did show some patience. Nothing went right for the Friendship CC batters. Four batters were dismissed on duck. The top scorer of the innings was the extras bowled by Gorkha 11. There were 18 extras bowled. The highest-scoring batter was Md Nazrul Islam who managed 15 from 11 balls. The Friendship CC batters were in no mood to bat today and it clearly shows on the scoreboard. The Gorkha 11 bowlers made the best of the poor batting show. Rahul Bhardwaj was the pick of the bowlers as he bowled a superb spell of 4/10. He got good support from the other bowlers.

8.5 Mohammad Asad to Absar Alam, FOUR! ENDS THE GAME IN STYLE! Slanted into the batter on a full length and Alam walks across his stumps before whipping it up and over the backward square leg region as he picks out the vast, empty real estate in the deep to seal the game in grand fashion! Gorkha 11 win by 6 wickets with seven deliveries to spare and they have qualified for the semifinals of the ECS T10 Cartaxo!
8.4 Mohammad Asad to Absar Alam, full and angled into the off-stump, Alam comes forward to push it through the line of the ball towards the bowler.
8.3 Mohammad Asad to Suman Ghimire, short in length outside off, Suman stands tall and throws his bat at it with the ball flying towards third man as the batters run a single to level the scores!
8.2 Mohammad Asad to Absar Alam, angled into the stumps on a length, Alam clips it on the up off his pads towards the man at deep square leg for a single.
8.1 Mohammad Asad to Absar Alam, APPEAL FOR LBW! Full and shaping into the leg-stump, Alam is caught in his crease as he jams his bat down straight before the ball pins him on the front pad with the angle. Would have gone well down leg though!
M Asad to bowl.
Six runs from the over. The boundary from the last delivery of the over means Gorkha 11 now need only three more runs to win this match and go through to the semifinals.
