Gozo Zalmi win by 59 runs!
Adnan Anwar 42 (9) | Nikhil Kaushal - 2/9 (2) Jovin Jacob 21 (20) | Tony Thomas - 2/13 (2)
What a shame that an innings which should have been filled with a lot of interest and excitement ended up having a tame run chase in it!
Only two double-digit scores and no one crossing a strike rate of 150. Just tells you how poor the batting effort was! Of course, there is nothing to be taken away from the Gozo Zalmi bowling but the batting required better intent, tactics and valour.
On the whole, the fielding was okay from the Zalmi but the bowling stole the show! Of the seven bowlers used, only one went for more than 10.00 RPO.
So, with this win, Gozo Zalmi strengthen their position in the points table with 10 points while Red Stars stay on only 4 points.
