Two back-to-back massive defeats for the Stars here. Both of them followed the same pattern: Zalmi put up a brilliant batting performance in the first innings and the Stars just lacked any kind of quality to challenge the total in the second.
Jacob and Thomas, their most technically solid players, tried to play out the first few overs but that didn't work for long as Kaushal came and prized out the former's wicket. After that, every Zalmi bowler just kept straight lines and tried to hit the stumps.
The middle-order batters gave easy catches trying to force runs runs while the lower order just couldn't protect the furniture. Zalmi used as many as eight bowlers in the match and six of them got at least a wicket.
