This has been an outstanding effort from the Guernsey side and they've been thoroughly professional in their approach against the Croatian side. They had a big total to defend and they did it some style as they've clinched the game by 78 runs.
Jared Newton and David Lambasa took their time early on and were really slow to get off the blocks. It proved to be too costly for them and by the time, Jared accelerated and got to his 50, the game had already gone away from their hands and it had become only a formality for the formidable Guernsey side. Newton piled up an excellent 50 nonetheless and they can take some positives out of it.
The bowling was impeccable early on from the Guernsey bowlers. They didn't get any wickets until the 8th over but they barely gave away any runs meaning that the game was always in their grasp. Skipper Stokes came in at the back end and got a wicket as did Hooper who bowled a couple of excellent yorkers and picked up two wickets to his name.
