So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj and Pratyush Rohra as we wrap up from the proceedings from this fixture. Do stay tuned to Sportskeeda with a lot more matches coming up including the IPL, St Lucia T10 and Pondy T10. Until next time, it is a warm good-bye
Shubman Gill, Player of the Match: I made my IPL debut against SRH, now my first hundred. So, feel it has come a full circle. I focus on the opponent bowlers rather than thinking about my previous knock. It is more about what I need to do in a particular situation. The most satisfying shot was the one against Abhishek as we have been childhood friends.
Shubman Gill has been named as the 'Player of the Match'
Hardik Pandya (Gujarat Titans captain): (On qualifying for the Play-offs) Very proud of the boys, two in two. Last year was different, this time we knew that there will be a lot more challenges. (Whether expectations was the major challenge) That was one of the parts of it, we knew where we stand and there will be expectations. For me, it was important that we focused within ourselves. There have been mistakes but if you look at even our losses, it would have been close. Bowlers are very close to my heart. Sometimes, I think batters take a lot of credit. I will always be a bowler's captain.
Time for the Post-match Presentation!
Mohammed Shami: This is the role I've been asked to perform since the start. I was looking to stick to my strengths and stick to the tight lines, like I usually do. [Powerplay wickets] The motive is always to do that, bowl in the right areas. In meetings, we always talk about making the most of the new ball. I rely on that theory always and when it succeeds, I focus on it even more. It was a fresh wicket but it was similar to the one in Delhi. There was movement off the deck and I was looking to make the most of that. [Mohit Sharma] When you get so many variations, it becomes great for the team, especially with the two spinners we have too. It makes such a great unit. [What he has to keep himself fit] We're in Gujarat, we don't get my type of food here (laughs). But I'm enjoying some Gujarati food.
Aiden Markram (Sunrisers Hyderabad captain): We were in the game at the halfway mark but when you lose four wickets in the powerplay, it becomes difficult. [Bowling] We were slightly off, to be honest. We've got high-class bowlers who can swing the ball. Shubman's innings was incredible and so did their number three. We stuck in there and credit goes to Bhuvi to show us how it's done. [Klaasen] He's a great player and I'm very happy for him, the world can see the power he's got. The rest of us haven't assisted him. It's tough for him to be on the losing side after performing the way he has. [Remaining two games] A lot of pride for us to play for. We'll try to give some opportunities if we're allowed to. It'll be nice to finish off the tournament in good spirits but unfortunately, we haven't been good enough in the tournament this year. When a team is one down in the backend, it can go either of the two ways. It was important to break the partnership and Bhuvi did that for us. He's been exceptional for us and Nattu as well.
Heinrich Klaasen 64 (44) | Bhuvneshwar Kumar 27 (26)
Mohammed Shami 4-0-20-4 | Mohit Sharma 4-0-28-4
A comprehensive win for GT and they make it back-to-back play-off appearances in the first two years of the franchise's existence. The win was largely set-up by Shubman Gill's maiden IPL century but Mohammed Shami and co. came out all guns blazing with the ball too. Shami first removed Anmolpreet Singh in the first over while Yash Dayal followed it up with the scalp of Abhishek Sharma too. Shami continued to wreak havoc with Tripathi edging it to slip where Rahul Tewatia took a sharp catch as SRH slipped to 12-3 in the third over.
Aiden Markram departed in a soft manner too as Dasun Shanaka pouched a leading-edge to award Shami his third wicket. Debutant Sanvir Singh started impressively by striking a maximum off Shami but it was shot too many for the youngster. Sanvir looked to go big over mid-off but he only mis-timed the shot to Sai Sudharsan as Mohit Sharma got amongst the wickets. A few deliveries later, Abdul Samad also heaved the ball to short mid-wicket and departed with SRH made to teeter at 49-6.
Marco Jansen was also undone by a hard length delivery from Mohit as he ended up skying the ball to Hardik Pandya at mid-off. These wickets didn't stop Heinrich Klaasen as he took on Noor Ahmad with ease. At the other end, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was intent on holding his wicket as the innings dragged on. Eventually, Klaasen reached yet another fifty but his knock was finally brought to an end by Mohit. A couple of overs later, Mohit struck again with Rashid Khan running in from deep cover to dismiss Bhuvneshwar. With the game out of SRH's reach, Rahul Tewatia bowled the final over and he was a tad unlucky to not get a wicket as Rashid dropped Mayank Markande at deep mid-wicket. However, it didn't matter much as SRH still went onto register an easy 34-run win.

19.6 Rahul Tewatia to Fazalhaq Farooqi, GUJARAT TITANS GET THE 'Q' NEXT TO THEIR NAME! They become the first side to do so this season and have sealed their place in the top two. Flighted on the leg-stump line, somehow missing the top of the stumps as Farooqi swung and missed. Tewatia will feel like he should have had a wicket in that over, but it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Gujarat Titans win by 34 runs!
