Right then, we couldn't get a result and both teams share a point each. Mind you just three more deliveries would have constituted a game but what happened with Vyshak left the umpires with no other option but to call the game off. Hopefully Vyshak recovers and plays in tomorrow's encounter. For now, this is me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off. Goodnight!

11:55 PM IST: So the final decision has been made. The match has been abandoned. Vijaykumar Vyshak has walked off the field and looks in trouble. The ground is certainly not fit to play so the question is why did the umpire start at the first place? The two umpires and the match referee having a chat as they walks away. Vyshak is getting some treatment near the dug out. His foot is in a bucket of ice which surely suggest that this could be dangerous. Vyshak will be part of the Dileep Trophy.

4.4 Vijaykumar Vyshak to Macneil Noronha, that shapes back in from a fullish-length and strikes Noronha on the back leg. Vyshak has fallen in his follow through and he seems to have done damage to his ankle. The players safety is being compromised here to be honest.

Vyshak has thrown the ball to the captain Devdutt Padikkal as he slips for the second time in his run-up. The umpires have deemed it fit to play and the bowler and the captain is having a word with the umpire.

11:17 PM IST: The two umpires are out there in the middle with the groundsmen who are trying their absolute best to get a game underway. The wet patches has been covered by grass carpets while saw dust is being applied at the top of the bowler's mark. Going by the activities, we should have a game but no update as of now. We will keep you posted.

11 PM IST: Good news folks. The rain has stopped and the covers have been taken off. The groundsmen are out there while the super soppers doing its job. Hopefully we will get an update pretty soon.

10:08 PM IST: Buoy oh buoy it has started bucketing down and the covers have come onto the field. It is absolutely pelting down and the match is in serious jeopardy as the centre wicket wasn't covered yet. I will be surprised to see any further play to be honest. The outfield here is the best in India but you can't help with the centre wicket.

4.3 Vijaykumar Vyshak to Macneil Noronha, SIX! This is a massive blow from Macneil and as I am typing all of a sudden it has started to bucketing down in Bangalore. Shorter this time, Macneil hangs back and thumps this pull well over the backward square leg fence.

4.2 Vijaykumar Vyshak to Macneil Noronha, banged in short by Vyshak, a tad shorter and Macneil ducks under that and lets it go through to the keeper.
