Southern Crusaders won by 4 wickets (with 4 deliveries to spare)
It turned out to be a close contest in the end but the Southern Crusaders managed to hold their nerves and win the game by 6 wickets. A couple of quick wickets put some pressure back on the Crusaders but Gopal Thakur turned it around for them with some brilliant batting. He didn't try to play big shots, instead he just found the gaps and eventually finished with a score of 30 which came in 16 deliveries and included 6 boundaries.
Ishantha Kariyawasam also looked in good touch but just when it looked the match would finish with atleast two overs to spare, the Gzira United bowlers made a great comeback, keeping the ball in the right areas and also managing to get some crucial wickets. They brought the equation down to 8 required off 7 before a five wide ended their hopes. Tanka Kandel and Buddhisagar Bhandari were the pick of the bowlers, with two apiece.

9.2 Akhar Patel to Mahabub Rahman, FOUR! SHOT! Short and wide outside off, moves away. Rahman goes back and cuts it away wide of point for a boundary to seal the deal for his team! SOUTHERN CRUSADERS WIN THIS GAME!
9.1 Akhar Patel to Mahabub Rahman, short of a length on off and middle, comes back in. Rahman tries to evade it but gets hit on the inside of his shoulders.
Gzira United still need 3 runs to win this contest. What a brilliant over this from Bhandari. Not many would have expected this to happen. If not for the side, it could have been much better.
9.1 Akhar Patel to Mahabub Rahman, WIDE down the legside! Rahman lets it go through.
