We hope you enjoyed our coverage of this ZIm Afro T10 game between the Harare Hurricanes and the Cape Town Samp Army. For now, it is Soumarya Dutta, taking your leave on behalf of Pradeep. See you soon.
Parthiv Patel, Captain of Cape Town Samp Army- It was a brilliant performance from our boys. We batted well first and I thought we put up a par score on the board. We tried to keep it simple and stuck to our plans with the bowling. It was a gamble to give Mujeeb the 8th and Curran the 9th but it paid off in the end. It's a bit difficult to lead in this format but there are things that are done behind the scenes as well sp it's a lot of effort that goes into stuff. The intensity in this game is massive and the margin for error is really low in this format so we have to be on our toes at all times.
Time for the Post match presentation!
Harare Hurricanes 97 in 10 overs Robin Uthappa 31(20) | Tom Curran 2/16 Mohammad Nabi 17(11) | Richard Ngarava 2/22
Second loss on the trot for Eoin Morgan's men and it has been another disappointing run chase from their point of view. They had the run chase under control at one stage when Indian veteran Robin Uthappa was at the crease but they lost wickets post the halfway stage of the innings and couldn't get the partnerships that they required to get them over the line.
Mohammad Nabi waged a lone battle at the back end as the likes of Eoin Morgan and Irfan Pathan perished in quick succession. Donovan Ferreira too couldn't get the big score as he threw his wicket away after being set. The turning point in the game turned out to be the penultimate over where they managed to get just 6 runs and lost the wickets of both the left handed batters, Morgan and Pathan.
The Samp Army will be really happy with their effort as they have managed to win this game and get their first points in the tournament. They didn't start well but they capitalized in the middle overs as they picked up key wickets. Local lad, Ngarava picked up the two set batters Uthappa and Ferreira in one over and it triggered the collapse. The pick of the bowlers however, was Tom Curran as he picked up two wickets for just 16 runs and bowled a superb penultimate over to clinch the game for his side,

9.6 Karim Janat to Luke Jongwe, THAT'S IT! Samp Army pick up their first win of the tournament and they've been clinical throughout. Back of a length outside the off-stump, Jongwe spanks it straight to extra-cover and takes a sharp single.
9.5 Karim Janat to Tashinga Musekiwa, back of a length on the middle and leg. Musekiwa on the backfoot turned it into the on-side for one.
Tashinga Musekiwa, RHB, comes to the crease.
End of Nabi and that is in all certainty the end of the Hurricanes in this run chase as well. He had to go for the big hit there and it was the pace off delivery that did the trick for Janat.
9.4 Karim Janat to Mohammad Nabi, OUT! PICKED OUT DEEP COVERS! Brilliant from Janat that. Short outside the off-stump, but takes the pace off. Nabi swings and makes good connection, but not good enough in the end as he holes out at deep covers.
Mohammad Nabi c Rahmanullah Gurbaz b Karim Janat 17(11b, 3x4, 0x6)
9.3 Karim Janat to Mohammad Nabi, FOUR! SHOT AND A HALF! What a shot that from Nabi. Back of a length outside the off-stump, Nabi hangs back and absolutely clobbered it to deep extra-cover for a boundary.
