Lizelle Lee is adjudged as the player of the match for her magnificent hundred
Hobart Hurricanes won by 93 runs
A sumptuous victory for the Hurricanes in a must-win match. Lizelle Lee's smashing knock and Graham's entertaining half-century helped them to post a massive total and in reply, the Renegades didn't live up to the expectation with the bat. The star-studded batting line up at the top fell prey to some tight bowling from the Hurricanes.
Beaumont started off well but Ismail had the last laugh against her. Except for de Broughe, the batters in the middle order were constantly troubled by Gibson and Smith. The duo wreaked havoc and proved too hot to handle as they picked up seven wickets combined in the middle phase
With this victory, the Hurricanes not only keep their playoffs hopes alive but also boost their net run rate. Still it's in the minus but most importantly, they move ahead of the Sixers. They will be competing their final match against the in-form Strikers' team, while the Renegades will sign off this forgettable campaign with a Melbourne derby on Saturday
16.2 Maisy Gibson to Sarah Coyte, BOWLED! The Hurricanes get a thumping victory to keep their playoff hopes alive. Quicker through the air on a good length, Coyte is caught on the crease and the ball sneaks between bat and pad to rattle the off-stump
16.1 Maisy Gibson to Emma de Broughe, pitched up on a fuller length, de Broughe drives it straight back and Gibson couldn't react quickly to take the follow through
