Vyshak Vijaykumar (Gulbarga Mystics Captain) - They have been unbeatable and playing some exceptional cricket. The fielding from us was great and that made the difference. We have been talking about winning different phases and that's helping us. The way Abhilash is bowling, he doesn't give away so many runs. We want to carry the momentum and wants to win a couple of games
Macneil Noronha is adjudged as the Player of the Match
Gulbarga Mystics win by 7 wickets with 8 balls to spare!
This was an excellent run chase by the Gulbarga Mystics! First of all, right from the start, the intent was to keep going for the runs. There was a bit of a halt against spin, but in the end, the solid 110-run partnership for the 3rd wicket eased all the nerves and took their team home!
Macneil Noronha and Smaran R were there for 78 deliveries. They scored their respective half-centuries and made sure the Hubli Tigers bowling attack could never settle against them. Proper cricketing shots were played and they were helped by some shabby fielding as well.
The bowling from Manish Pandey's team did not quite hit the straps. There were a few fresh names in the attack and there were some experiments done, but, they did not quite work out well enough. Also, the body language did not look like of a team that is on top of the table at the moment.
So, with this win, the Mystics move to 8 points while the Tigers remain on 12 points. Both teams are now well-placed in the ladder.

18.2 KC Cariappa to Macneil Noronha, RUN OUT! END OF A INCREDIBLE PARTNERSHIP! Pitched up outside off, Noronha hits to short third and Smaran calls his partner for a single. Noronha is unmoved and both batters are at the same end. Cariappa collects and whips the bails gently
