Indo-Bulgarian beat Pleven by 29 runs!
Apoorv Mishra 77* (38) | Rohit Dhiman 2/9 Bakhtiar Tahiri 57 (31) | Amal Thomas 2/36
Despite their best efforts, Pleven could not quite amass this giant of a total that Indo-Bulgarian had set up for them when they batted first. A lot was expected from their opening duo of Apoorv Mishra and Nithin Sunil and they did not disappoint.
Sunil departed for a well-made 16 but it was Mishra who stole the show for them. Despite his valiant knock of an unbeaten 77, he could not quite seal the deal for Pleven. Indo-Bulgarian, deservedly so, managed to script a comfortable win over Pleven.
They were served well by the likes of Adrian Dunbar and Bakhtiar Tahiri earlier in the day, and their bowlers followed up from there. Apoorv Mishra did as much as he could and took his side close to the total that they were chasing.
But 142 can seem to be unsurmountable to the best of teams at the best of times, and it was no different for Pleven here. They will, however, take a lot of confidence from this and take the momentum forward further into the competition.
