So, that will be it from the first match of Group D at the Cartama Oval. Do switch tabs and join us for the second match in around 45 minutes from now. This is the pair of Mohul and Bidipto taking your leave. Keep following Sportskeeda!
The only thing that went in favour of Austria in the second innings was them not getting bowled out. Otherwise, it is a sorry-looking scorecard for them with not even 90 runs on the board in 10 overs.
Ireland XI hardly made a mistake. The only lapse in concentration came when Tim Tector dropped one at long-off, rather surprisingly. But otherwise, they were thoroughly professional in the field and with the ball.
There has been a big contrast in the performances of both teams in their opening game. Austria have a lot of improvements to make here while Ireland XI can only go from strength to strength!
