Ireland won by 3 runs
George Dockrell 53*(30) | Mark Adair 2/21(4) Max O'Dowd 60(41) | Logan van Beek 2/26(4)
Ireland managed to finish the tri-nation series against the hosts Netherlands with a hard-fought victory and almost snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Netherlands was very good for 80 percent of the game which was also the case in the previous game. However they failed to seize onto the opportunities towards the end overs. Mark Adair and Barry McCarthy held their nerves to deliver the killer punch.
The target of 162 was always going to be a tricky one for the Netherlands. The openers Michael Levitt and Max O'Dowd started cautiously in the first three overs and managed to score just 17. However the next three belonged to the Dutch as both Levitt and O'Dowd found the boundaries quite regularly.
The boundaries started flowing once the two batters were set and it looked like the Netherlands would chase this down very comfortably. The 67 run partnership came to an end in the 9th over when Levitt played a mistimed shot as Gareth Delany got into the wickets column. When Vikramjit Singh and Max O'Dowd were going along great guns, it looked like a stroll in the park for the Dutch.
However they couldn't quite the breezy knock which would have helped them to bring the required rate down. O'Dowd started taking his chances and went onto score 60 off 41 deliveries which included three fours and as many sixes. When he was dismissed in the 16th over, it was still Netherlands in the box seat.
When Scott Edwards smashed back to back boundaries in the 17th over, Ireland looked to have surrendered to the result but the likes of Barry McCarthy, Mark Adair and Craig Young did a brilliant job in the last few overs as Netherlands fell short of the winning target by three runs. For Ireland, Mark Adair and Craig Young were the pick of the bowlers with a couple of wickets each.

19.6 Craig Young to Bas de Leede, IRELAND WIN A THRILLER AND REMAIN UNBEATEN IN THE SERIES! Full and well in the block hole. De Leede drills this out by pumping it over the in-field from deep in the crease. But all he gets for it is a single down to long-on!
19.5 Craig Young to Bas de Leede, low full toss on middle-and-leg. Swung away from deep in the crease by clearing the front leg for a couple of runs to wide long-on. 5 runs to get off 1 delivery!
19.4 Craig Young to Logan van Beek, WHAT A YORKER! Full and right up in the block hole on middle-and-leg. Van Beek somehow digs it out to the short-leg region and runs through for one on the call of his partner! 7 to get off 2 balls.
Logan van Beek, RHB is the new man in.
Craig Young gets a massive wicket in the final over and now Ireland have their noses slightly ahead in the game. Still 8 more needed with 3 deliveries to spare.
19.3 Craig Young to Wesley Barresi, CLEANED HIM UP! Fast length delivery on off-and-middle. Barresi stayed in his crease and hoicked across the line. He misses, but the ball then hit the stumps flush!
19.2 Craig Young to Bas de Leede, full toss on leg-stump. Punched over the in-field to wide long-on off the back foot for just the single!
