So, that will be all from the second match at the Cartama Oval. The third one is coming up is just about 15 minutes from now. Do switch tabs and check that out as the action heats up on Day 1 of the ECC this year! This is the pair of Pradeep and Bidipto taking your leave. Keep following Sportskeeda!
Tremendous performance first up from Isle of Man! They put the runs on the board and managed to defend it with some decent bowling and fine fielding. But the real match-winning performance came from their captain Ollie Webster, with the bat!
Czechia did not quite go past the required rate at any stage and some key dot deliveries towards the end of the innings did not help their cause. There were handy contributions with the bat but someone needed to go on and get to fifty, at least.
Four of the five bowlers used in the second innings went at under 15 RPO and that most definitely proved to be the difference! Off-spinner Fraser Clarke went for only 17 runs in his spell in these good batting conditions.
Certainly the kind of performance the debutants of ECC were after but not what the experienced Czechia team needed to begin their campaign!
