An excellent run chase from Spain as they secure the win by four wickets. Italy win the ECI tournament but the Spanish side will be happy to end the series with a 3-2 deficit instead of 4-1.
Italy were the better of the two sides at the end of the powerplay. Spain, however, continued to add quick runs despite losing wickets at regular intervals. All they needed was a big impactful innings from just one player to see them over the line.
Spain got that innings from Awais Ahmed. The big right hander smashed 56* from just 15 deliveries. It included reaching his half century off just 11 balls.
Italy's bowling looked good at times but failed to provide an over with minimal runs. Both Amir Sharif and Irosh Vimukhi picked up two wickets each but were expensive as well.
