Match summary:
Kent Lanka win by 9 wickets with 14 balls to spare
Nicolo Fernando 52(21) | Ishan Shaminda 4/10 (2) Sharif Raihan 53(34) | Ahmed Mohsin 1/20 (2)
This has been a really controlled, composed run-chase from Kent Lanka. Once again, their opening pair of Nicolo Fernando and Risal Jayawardena stepped up to the task, and it was the left-handed Fernando who went big with his innings this time! Nicolo set the tone right from the first over, dispatching a couple of erred deliveries to and over the ropes.
Fernando then went after Bilal in the second over right away, and Risal got in on the act as well. The boundaries kept flowing as the duo raised 36 in the powerplay, and they only seemed to get started from the looks of it. The over from Rifat Janal confirmed the same - Janal erred in length on several occasions, and Nicolo, with all his might, dispatched the ball into the banks at the mid-wicket region on four successive occasions!
Having completed a half-century, Nicolo was looking good to finish it off all by himself, but a rather foolish lap-sweep off Ahmed Mohsin brought his innings to an end. However, the damage had already been done, and it was up to Risal Jayawardena to guide Kent Lanka home, which he did, and in some style, at that! Kent Lanka keep themselves in the hunt for a semi-final spot with this win!
7.4 Rifat Islam to Risal Jayawardena, FOUR! DONE IN STYLE! Width offered on a back of a length radar. Jayawardena thumps it with a cut through the covers and beats the sweeper to his right rather comfortably to bring the curtains down on a clinical chase. Kent Lanka beat Royal Bangla Morning Sun by 9 wickets with 14 deliveries to spare!
7.3 Rifat Islam to Ishan Shaminda, good length delivery angling across middle and leg stump. Shaminda makes room to guide his cut into the covers for a run
7.2 Rifat Islam to Risal Jayawardena, back of a length delivery outside the off stump. Jayawardena backs away to chop it into the covers for a single
7.1 Rifat Islam to Ishan Shaminda, short in length outside leg stump. Shaminda rocks back and pulls through mid-wicket for one
Rifat Islam, slow right-arm, comes into the attack
What a cracking blow from Jayawardena to end the over! He got all of that one all right! Kent Lanka need one more of those to finish this game off with 5 to get!

6.6 Ahmed Mohsin to Risal Jayawardena, SIX! BOOM! On a length on off stump and Jayawardena comes forward to power into a swing over mid-wicket. Sends it back by a country mile and Kent Lanka are just one hit away now!
