Thank you for joining us on the coverage of this one-sided fixture in the ECS between Lisbon Capitals and the Lisbon Super Giants. The Lisbon derby went the way of the Capitals this time, and by a huge margin! Until next time, this is Mohul Bhowmick and Maanas Upadhyay signing off.
Lisbon Capitals beat Lisbon Super Giants by 8 wickets!
Amir Dar 31 (17) | Kashi Ram 3/0 Mitul Patel 14* (6) | Sunil Patel 2/17
As was obvious in the innings break, this game turned out to be completely one-sided in favour of the Lisbon Capitals. The Super Giants tried their best to restrict them and keep the scoring rate down, but it just was not feasible. The opening duo of Amir Dar and Taj Muhammad did most of the damage.
Although the latter departed in the third over of this innings, it did not derail the chances that his side had of winning the game. While Kashi Ram was the star for them with the ball in hand, Amir Dar was the one who led the way with the bat.
The Capitals were the superior side by a big margin in this game, and the Super Giants were truly humbled by them. The Capitals will look to take this form further into the competition, while the Super Giants will be keen on avoiding a repeat of this when they take on Punjab CC later on today.
5.3 Rutulbhai Chaudhari to Mitul Patel, FOUR! Lucky! Length ball outside off, Mitul swings across the line wildly! Gets the outside edge and skews it over the backward point region to collect a boundary! And that will be it!
5.2 Rutulbhai Chaudhari to Dikshit Patel, inswinging full toss on the pads, Dikshit misses the flick. The ball deflects off his pads towards short third man as the batters run a quick single.
Dikshit Patel, RHB, is the new batter.
5.1 Rutulbhai Chaudhari to Dhaval Patel, OUT! CAUGHT! Was looking to finish it off in style and perishes instead! Full and outside off, Dhaval swings for the fences but gets an outside edge. The short third man fielder dives to his left and takes an absolute screamer there to dismiss Dhaval!
Dhaval Patel c Ankit Singh b Rutulbhai Chaudhari 1 (2b 0x4 0x6)
Only two runs are required for victory here! The Capitals are almost there. The Super Giants need to attempt one last throw of the dice.

4.6 Suman Bhowmik to Mitul Patel, SIX! BOOM! Full and on the fourth stump line, Mitul holds his ground and absolutely thrashes it over the long on region to collect a massive maximum!
4.5 Suman Bhowmik to Dhaval Patel, back of a length ball outside off, Dhaval gets the top edge high in the air which lands towards mid on. Chambers runs in a really really long way from long on and puts in a dive but the ball falls agonisingly short of him.
