Friendship CC have done it! You cannot ask for a better start to an ECS career than that! They have beaten the big fish and started off on a winning note in a last-ball thriller. Malo have lost the tie by 4 runs and they will be looking to come back strongly in the next fixture.
Chasing 107, Malo were off to a poor start losing two wickets in two overs with just 13 runs on the board. However, Mian Mehmood and Amir Zaib took on from there and added 40 odd runs in the next two overs to put the reigning champions into a winning position. Mehmood scored 21 off 11 deliveries while Zaid added 32 runs in just 10 deliveries.
Md Abdul Motin turned the tie around in the 5th over after picking three wickets including both the settled batsmen. No other batsman got going from the lower order as Yasir Sabir was left stranded without support.
All the bowlers did a fine job except Sayful Huda and Nazmul Hasan who conceded over 20 runs in their only over. The rest were consistent and effective with decent economy rates. Abdul Motin was the star of the match picking 4/15 in his two overs.

Flat and quicker delivery on the stumps, Popat steps out but can only tap it towards deep mid-wicket for a single. What a game we've witnessed here and the Friendship CC players are all smiles after this 5 run victory!

Another twist in the tail! Another wicket falls down! 8 runs are needed off 3 deliveries now!
9.3 Mohammad Asad to Assad Mehmood, OUT! Well, well, well. Some drama unfolding here. Forget the Oval! Back of a length delivery on the stumps, Mehmood tries to give himself some room and cuts this uppishly and straight to the fielder at point. Which way is this going?
