What a win, what a win for Malo! After losing back to back games on an opening day, they bounced back strongly to finish at the top of the table with four consecutive wins. Now they have made it five wins in a row after humiliating Gorkha 11 here today by 48 runs. Gorkha have been outplayed in all three departments of the game. They have nobody else but themselves to blame for not capitalizing on the toss win and allowing Malo to put on 130 on the board.
Chasing 131 was always going to take a monumental effort and to pull it off against the reigning champions in a semifinal is close to unachievable. Gorkha got off to the worst possible start by losing three wickets in the powerplay itself. They were never in the run chase from there. The big three of Suman Ghimire, Imran Khan and Praveen Singh were all back in the shed and it was all over for Gorkha. They couldn't get enough runs on the board from there as they capitulated under scoreboard pressure. Absar Alam's 24 ball 36 in the backend saved some pride for Gorkha but no other batsman managed to score even a third of his total.
Gorkha finish their innings at 82/6 after 10 overs and lose the tie by 48 runs!

Junaid Ali to Amandeep Ghumman, DROPPED! Full-length delivery going down the pads, Ghumman flicks that one away towards deep midwicket and the fielder drops a sitter. The pair run two, but that doesn't bother the Malo CC who have won the match by 48 runs and head into the finals
We are facing some technical difficulties here. Please stay tuned!

Assad Mahmood to Absar Alam, CAUGHT! Full length delivery wide outside the off stump. Alam goes to follow that delivery and gets a thick outside edge. The ball goes off the edge flying to the man at short third man for an easy grab
