Karun Nair (Mysore Warriors captain): (On the support and winning in front of their supporters again) Very happy to see so many fans coming here and supporting up and hope they keep coming in numbers. (On battng with Ravikumar Samarth) Samarth and I understand each other's games really well and that helped when we were out in the middle. (On the team environment) Every player is putting his hand up to do the job and that is key. (On if this win is the best up to now) Every win is important, we will have to keep the wins coming.
Ravikumar Samarth is adjudged the Player of the Match for his classy 73 off 42 balls!
What an incredible effort this has been from the Mysore Warriors and they've pulled off a great victory against the table toppers Hubli Tigers. They went all guns blazing for the run chase in the powerplay as Ajith Karthik and Samarth took on the spinners early on.
Once Ajith Karthik was gone, Samarth shifted gears and he scored at a rapid rate. He was joined by Karun Nair who played second fiddle to him in an all important partnership. Samarth went berserk in the middle overs and ensured that they Warriors were always ahead of the chase at all stages of the innings.
There was a brief hiccup in the middle as Pravin Dubey inflicted two dismissals in one over of Nair and impact player Lankesh. The Tigers skipper managed to effect the dismissal of Samarth as he ran him out with a brilliant piece of fielding. However, Shoaib Manager and Rakshith S put on a really well measured and calculated stand of 42 runs and pulled of the win with ease in the end.
The bowlers struggled early on and for the greater part of the innings., The spinners, D'Mello, Dubey and Cariappa were really expensive. Dubey did take three wickets to keep them in the hunt going into the final four overs of the innings but he never got any support from the other end. The likes of Santokh and Darshan were also very expensive as the Tigers felt the absence of Widwath Kaverappa.
18.5 Santok Singh to Shivkumar Rakshith, FOUR RUNS TO WIN IT! FOUR WINS OUT OF FOUR NOW FOR MYSORE WARRIORS! Full and in the slot around off-stump. Smashed straight back past the bowler from the middle of the bat and the ball raced away to the right of long-off for a boundary! Hubli Tigers lose their first match of the competition.

18.4 Santok Singh to Shoaib Manager, full and WIDE outside off-stump on this occasion. This ball will have to be re-bowled.
18.3 Santok Singh to Shivkumar Rakshith, full around off-stump. Lofted from deep in the crease over the in-field and down to long-off for a single only.
18.2 Santok Singh to Shoaib Manager, good length ball over off-stump. Shoaib went for the glory shot over square-leg from down on one knee but could only get a leg-bye to backward point.
