That brings us to the end of our coverage for this encounter. Till the next time, this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off on behalf of my fellow commentator Abhishek.
KB Arun Karthik | Player of the Match: God willing it came [the big knock]. The wicket was superb here. The sweep is my go-to shot and I have worked a lot on that against the left-arm spinners. It is easier to communicate with the younger guys, in the team meetings they are the ones who are talking. Hats off to the management for taking those guys. They motivate me a lot. Rithik Easwaran is a superb talent and has a bright future ahead of him. He is hitting switch-hits for sixes - even in his sleep he will play that shot. We are chasing well, we practised a lot for the chase during our off-season and it's happy that it is paying off.
N Jagadeesan | CSG captain: When we were playing it was a good wicket, the ball was skidding on nicely, I was expecting a high-scoring game but the way we played was not good. We were 20 runs short. If you have to be critical, we have to improve our fielding a lot more. Also need to see the situation when we are batting and the way we are bowling. Still there is a chance for us as there are 2 games left.
Lakshay Jain: Today we saw the batting of KB anna, he is leading by example for the team. Just enjoyed what I'm doing, the wicket was holding and I used that to my advantage. Our bowlers restricted them to a good total. Poiya anna is bowling the tough overs and is executing really well.
Nellai Royal Kings won by 8 wickets (with 7 deliveries to spare)
Riding on a sensational century from the Nellai Royal Kings skipper Arun Karthik, they made light work of the challenging target of 160 and ended up winning the game by 8 wickets and with deliveries to spare. Karthik was absolutely fabulous and never really allowed the Lyca Kovai Kings to claw their way back into the game.
The run chase began with Arun Karthik smashing a couple of boundaries while Neranjan also found the fence twice. However the latter failed to time the ball and his stand-and-deliver approach didn't quite work here. It didn't bother Karthik at the other end as he kept smashing boundaries and sixes at will.
Following the departure of Neranjan, it was Rithik Easwaran who joined the skipper in the middle and reassured him with a supportive knock. He didn't try to do anything extravagant and gave the support which Karthik needed at that point. The duo shared a good stand which ensured that Nellai was cruising towards the target.
Easwaran was dismissed in an attempt to play the ramp shot but by then, the match was in the pocket of the Royal Kings. Arun Karthik went on to notch up a well-deserved century in the penultimate over of the game. His knock of 104 came in just 61 deliveries as he finished the match with a mighty six. His knock was studded with 10 fours and 5 sixes as Nellai romped home with 7 deliveries to spare.
18.4 M Silambarasan to Arun Karthik, SIX! What a way to get to a win. Length on off, slog swept towards the square leg fence. Also, Arun Karthik completes his century with that shot.
18.3 M Silambarasan to Ajitesh Guruswamy, flicked towards midwicket for a single.
18.3 M Silambarasan to Arun Karthik, length on off, knocked towards long on.
18.2 M Silambarasan to Arun Karthik, FOUR MORE! Length on off, slapped towards deep square leg for a boundary.
18.1 M Silambarasan to Ajitesh Guruswamy, length on off, knocked towards long off for no runs.
