Commentary

Right! At the start of the World Cup, the fans' expectation for team Afghanistan is that they might cause a few upsets and take this tournament as a good experience but only a few would've given them the chance to be in contention for the top-four finish. They are growing in confidence in every match and more importantly, the belief among the players is sky high. The low-scoring chases often get tricky but Afghanistan approached it in a mature way. For Netherlands, the run-outs turned against them and it made a big difference in this contest

Hashmatullah Shahidi (Afghanistan Captain) - I can say both. We bowled well and the run chase is good. This is the 3rd time we achieved the target. We are looking at the target and playing accordingly. Nabi is a special player and he has always shown his talent. Whenever the team needs him he has taken responsibility. The team unity is good and that's the reason for our success. We are trying our best to reach the semis and if that happens it's a big achievement for our country. I have one message - we are with the refugee people, who are struggling back in our country and I dedicate this win to them

Scott Edwards (Netherlands Captain) - Yeah, it's not ideal. 4 to 5 run outs of your in the top six, then it's hard to come back after that. We can't come to the ground thinking about dew. We did well batting first and I felt 280 would've been a good score. We need to go back to the drawing board, rethink and re-group before we meet England in our next game

Mohammad Nabi (Player of the Match): Yeah focussing on my line and lengths and focussing on dot balls. Batter rush on that thinking the ball is too easy. I stick to my line and length and keep it simple. Always I will stick to my plans and use my angles. Use my variations when it is available. Sometimes I get wickets sometimes it comes sometimes it doesn't but I always wanted to bowl dot balls. I am working on my body, keeping a strict diet. Still my body is working well and playing for Afghanistan.

Stop them if you can! Afghanistan are on a roll at the moment. They steamrolled Netherlands to register their fourth win in this World Cup. It was an impressive bowling effort to bowl the Dutch out to 180, and in reply, Gurbaz and Ibrahim didn't show any rush while chasing a low total. Edwards tried to control things by bowling pace and spin from both ends. Gurbaz fell cheaply, while Ibrahim doesn't looked comfortable against the spinners as Roelof removed him in his very first delivery of the spell.

Once again, there was a rebuilding job needed and who better than Rahmat and Shahidi to do it. Both batters played risk-free cricket and with confidence, doesn't allow the Dutch to put any pressure on them at any point. Rahmat played some scintillating shots and brought up yet another half-century but he can't convert this into a big one. Once he fell, Omarzai joined hands with Shahidi and the duo ensured there weren't any further slip-ups. Shahidi was dealing in singles early on in his innings but once he settled himself, he punished the loose deliveries and eventually scored a half-century
