We now come to our conclusion of our coverage of the US Masters T10 League for the day. We will be back with three more matches tomorrow - hopefully unmarred by the weather. Keep an eye on our tabs for our coverage of the same. This is Rajarshi, signing off on behalf of Arya. Good night!
Misbah Ul Haq: I think to start with the bowlers, they really bowled well. After the last game, containing a team under 100 in a T10 game was exceptional. Our openers batted brilliantly We knew that we would be playing this game which is a good sign for the players and also the fans.
Sohail Khan is the Player of the Match.
Match summary:
New York Warriors win by 7 wickets with 11 balls to spare
Kamran Akmal 34(11) | Sohail Khan 3/21 (2) Dwayne Smith 34(26) | Elias Sunny 2/11 (2)
Of course! There was no other way that this game could have ended! While it came off a dropped chance, Afridi got the desired finish that he was after in his last three deliveries. The New York Warriors, by virtue of this victory, will now climb to the top of the table. With all the washouts and rain-affected games on show, the Warriors have certainly stood out with performances in the limited period that they had!
Unlike the power-packed starts that we see from them early on, the Warriors started off steadily, but thanks to some precisive stroke-play from Tillakaratne Dilshan, they had the upper-hand from a very early stage. At no stage did Dilshan looked to muscle the ball out of the park - he kept looking for the gaps within the circle, and somehow, they just seemed to open up for him!
Kamran Akmal got in on the act soon after, smashing the left-arm spin of Harmeet Singh to all parts and helping in bringing 24 off the over, which turned the tide heavily in the favour of the chasing side. Elias Sunny, though, pulled things back with back-to-back wickets, following which Akmal got run out as well. However, with the run rate around 6 an over, Afridi and Jonathan Carter prevented further hiccups, and helped the Warriors coast past the line. Presentations coming up shortly...
8.1 Harmeet Singh to Shahid Afridi, SIX! Afridi finishes it off in style but that was more down to the poor work in the deep by Mohammad Irfan. Was a full toss a shade outside off, sliced away down the ground. Difficult chance for Irfan, he drops it and parries it over the fence. New York Warriors win by 7 wickets.
Harmeet Singh (1-0-24-0) is back into the attack
Afridi had two chances to win it with a six, but he just couldn't meet the ball well enough. With the scores tied, he'll get a third chance. Can he do it?

7.6 Nasir Hossain to Shahid Afridi, on a length a shade outside off, Afridi fetches that towards the midwicket region and has to be content with a single.
7.5 Nasir Hossain to Shahid Afridi, FOUR! Fuller length a shade outside off, right in the slot and Afridi nails that down the ground, goes flat and well away from the long-off fielder. Just 2 more required.
